Non-exempt staff will be allowed to teach courses as an adjunct faculty member, outside of regular work hours, based on the following schedule.
Staff who are:
- contracted for 31-40 hours per week will be allowed to teach a maximum of 4 contact hours per week.
- contracted for 25-30 hours per week will be allowed to teach a maximum of 8 contact hours per week.
- contracted for 20-24 hours per week will be allowed to teach a maximum of 12 contact hours per week.
Contact hours are defined as the number of hours the instructor is scheduled to be in a classroom or lab setting during one workweek regardless of the number of credit hours or the load credit of the course or lab being taught.
Non-exempt staff who teach as adjunct faculty will be paid at the regular adjunct faculty rate.
