All persons desiring to appear before the Board will apply to the President of the college, who shall consult with the District Governing Board Chair to make the necessary arrangements for such appearance.
Citizens wishing to address the Board shall submit a written request to the Recording Secretary for the District Governing Board prior to the beginning of the meeting. The Board may allow that citizen to speak but may not take action on the matter, unless it refers to an agenda item. Remarks may be limited by the Chair.
Members of the public may also answer during ‘the call for public comment’ to address any relevant issue. Individuals will have up to five minutes to address the Board. Board members may not respond to any comments but may respond to criticism, ask staff to review a matter or ask that a matter be placed on a future agenda.
