A search is underway to identify the next president of Northland Pioneer College (NPC). The college’s next leader will be instrumental in fulfilling NPC’s mission to provide educational excellence that is affordable and accessible for the enrichment of communities across northeastern Arizona, now and for years to come.
With the assistance of the Association of Community College Trustees (ACCT) and a Presidential Search Team made up of NPC staff, faculty, students, local school superintendents, tribal representatives, and community members, NPC’s District Governing Board (DGB) has identified three potential candidates. View candidate bios.
“NPC’s District Governing Board is committed to conducting an equitable, inclusive, and transparent national search process,” said Navajo County Community College District Governing Board Chair Everett Robinson. “We want our communities to join us in this process.”
Public forums are scheduled for the week of October 28, 2024, in Show Low, Winslow, and Kayenta.
They will be led by the Presidential Search Team and the DGB. “This is a great opportunity to meet the finalists, ask questions, and provide valuable feedback that will shape the future leadership of our college,” Robinson explained. “Your voice and input matter. This is your chance to engage with the candidates, to ask questions, and express what is important to you and your community.”
The Show Low forums will be from 9:45 to 11:15 a.m. on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, Oct. 29, 30 & 31, at the White Mountain Campus, 1001 W. Deuce of Clubs, in the Aspen Center, room 111.
The Winslow forums will be from 6:15 to 7:45 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, Oct. 28, 29 & 30, at the Little Colorado Campus, 1400 E. Third St., in the Learning Center, room 101.
The Kayenta meet & greets will be from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. (MDT) on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, Oct. 28, 29 & 30. The NPC Kayenta Center is located 1/4 mile north of highway junction 160/163, on Highway 163 behind the Kayenta Township Office and adjacent to US Post Office.
The presidential forums will be recorded and posted to NPC’s website at www.npc.edu/pres-search for up to three days after each forum session. A survey, forum details, candidate bios, and the presidential profile and search timeline can also be found on NPC’s presidential search webpage.
