Faculty Mentoring Program
The Faculty Mentoring Program is an integral component of faculty professional development. The purpose of the program is to facilitate peer collaboration and support between a mentee (a faculty member new to the instructional environment at NPC) and a mentor (a faculty member who is well-versed in teaching and technology), as we believe that faculty mentors can contribute significantly to the development of the mentees' pedagogical and technological skills, leading to improved self-efficacy, job satisfaction, and collegial networking.
The first-semester teaching in a new environment can be intimidating, but with the help from a group of highly experienced and motivated mentors, we hope our new faculty will have a smooth transition and adjustment. See the NPC Faculty Mentoring Procedure (updated 7/15/2019).
