Individuals seeking admission to Northland Pioneer College's Associate Degree Nursing Program must successfully complete the Health Education Systems, Inc. (HESI) Admission Assessment.
The HESI Admission Assessment tests math, reading, vocabulary, grammar, biology, chemistry and anatomy and physiology. All of these subjects are covered in nursing pre-requisite courses. Look for the HESI study guide: HESI Study Guide, ISBN: 9780323640114, 5th edition, author: Trivium, publisher: Trivium Test Prep.

PLEASE NOTE: HESI testing is now being conducted in person and online through Evolve and ProctorU. If testing remotely students will purchase and schedule testing with those entities. The college will not accept payment. If testing remotely through ProctorU, a computer, webcam, and microphone with reliable internet are required. PLEASE NOTE: Prior to testing you will need to open an account with Evolve and pay for the exam using Payment ID: 28561 for first-time testers. Payment ID: 28558 for second-time testers.
The cost is $65 paid by debit or credit card. A valid government-issued ID is required on the test day. You may take the HESI A2 Admission Exam a maximum of two times per year. Results are valid for 18 months.
