- The recipient must have a minimum 3.0 GPA.
- The recipient must be a high school graduate of an Arizona White Mountain school district.
- Must have graduated within the previous five years or graduating in May of the current year.
- The scholarship will be used to cover the cost of course tuition, fees, required books, equipment and expenses.
- To apply for the scholarship,the recipient must submit all required criteria by the application deadline.
- If the recipient fails to successfully complete the course(s) awarded by the scholarship, the recipient shall be responsible for paying back all monies awarded to the First Responders Legacy Scholarship Fund/Darrin Reed Foundation, Inc.

Personal essay up to 2 pages answering the following questions:
- why you “Dare to Live Your Dream”,
- What are your current and five-year goals;
- What is the purpose of reaching your goals; How do you plan to accomplish your goals;
- Why do you feel that you should be the recipient of the scholarship; Provide an example of a time that you showed integrity in a decision-making process and the outcome; detail how you will finance your educational goals, such as the use of this scholarship, savings, a job, etc.

High school transcript showing GPA of 3.0 or higher and your graduation date

Degree plan detailing courses required for your program of study from an accredited institution

Completed and signed application form

Letter of recommendation from a professional that is not a relative or close friend, emailed from them

Signed Statement of Accuracy and Statement of Support (page 4 of the application packet)
Covers tuition, course fees, required textbooks and any required equipment at any accredited institution in any field of study. Scholarship award could be $1,000 to up to $5,000. Scholarship is limited to a one-time award.
