Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) is the international honor society for two-year college students who are committed to academic excellence. NPC students are invited to join if they meet the following eligibility requirements:
- have at least a 3.5 GPA;
- have completed at least twelve 100-level or higher credits at NPC; and
- are currently enrolled in six or more credits at NPC.
- Note: students must have a degree/certificate intent on file (see Academic Advisor for assistance).
Students who do not meet these eligibility requirements are still welcome to participate with PTK as a provisional member, meaning they can participate in chapter meetings and events, but are not eligible for full membership benefits and scholarships.
PTK membership invitations are issued in three cycles that correspond with the Spring, Fall, and Summer semesters. Eligible students receive the membership invitation to their NPC student email account. The cost of PTK membership is $80.00 (for membership-fee scholarship information contact NPC's PTK Chapter Advisor for details).
