If you are passionate, imaginative, self-confident, hate the status quo, never give up and want to control your own destiny, being an entrepreneur may be for you.
Entrepreneurs have a passion for a subject or problem that needs solving, and they want to control their own time and focus on what is important to them. Entrepreneurship plays a vital role in the growth of our local economy and Northland Pioneer College can help you learn the fundamentals you'll need to start your business and be successful.
NPC's Entrepreneurship training program offers classes that will teach you about supervision, management, bookkeeping, customer service, marketing, finance, accounting, the regulatory environment and economics. As an entrepreneur, you'll need a wide range of knowledge to be able to make smart decisions and move your business toward success in Arizona or where ever you start your business!
You'll also have access to NPC's Small Business Development Center (SBDC). The SBDC staff can work with you one-to-one and help you develop a successful business plan and find available funding resources to ensure you start off on the right foot.
- For more information about this program, please contact an NPC Academic Advisor. Also see the current NPC College Catalog and class schedule.
Labs and Classrooms
Not all business courses are offered every semester. Check with your academic advisor or the current semester's class schedule for offerings. Many Business courses are offered online. Look for INT in the class schedule.
Job Outlook
Entrepreneurs start new businesses and take on the risks and rewards of being an owner. Those who plan ahead and educate themselves on the range of issues that will impact their business before they start are the most successful.
Salary
Annual salaries vary by industry and level of success.
Articulations
Although this is not a transfer degree, some of NPC's business courses may transfer to the state's three public universities and other colleges. Check with an NPC academic advisor and AZTransfer.com to see which NPC courses may be accepted for transfer credit.
Always work with an academic advisor at the college or university you plan to attend to ensure courses you complete at NPC will transfer.
