Sealed bids will be received by Northland Pioneer College until Thursday, February 23, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. local time, for Holbrook Maintenance Building Parking Lot Improvements, Northland Pioneer College, 102 N. First Avenue, Holbrook, Arizona.

Bids must be received at the Northland Pioneer College Administrative Services Office, 2251 E. Navajo Boulevard, Holbrook, Arizona, 86025-0610.

Bids must be on a Lump Sum basis.

Bidding Documents, including drawings and specifications are available at the office of the Design Engineer, TETRA TECH, Inc., Attn. Doug Brimhall, 1801 W. Deuce of Clubs, #230, Show Low, AZ 85901-6794, (928) 537-7218, for a non-refundable deposit of $50.00 per set (mail orders $60.00) or may, by appointment only, be examined at, but not removed from, the District Maintenance Office of Northland Pioneer College, 102 N. First Avenue, Holbrook, Arizona. To make an appointment call David Huish, Director of Facilities and Transportation at (928) 524-7691 or (928) 205-1163. Questions related to the mandatory meetings, bidding process, or plans and specifications shall be directed to the Design Engineer.

A mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held at 11:00 a.m., local time, on Thursday, February 2, 2017, in the Nizhoni Learning Center, room 142, on NPC’s Holbrook – Painted Desert Campus, 2251 E. Navajo Blvd., followed immediately by a mandatory walk-through of the Maintenance Building Facility at 102 N. First Ave. (corner of First Ave. and Joy Nevin) also in Holbrook.

Each Bid submitted shall be sealed and plainly marked "Northland Pioneer College, Bid Identification AS #17-01, Holbrook Maintenance Building Parking Lot Improvements" All Bids shall be mailed or delivered to the Administrative Services Office address above.

Bids will be opened on Thursday, February 23, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. local time at Northland Pioneer College, in the Tiponi Center Conference Room, 2251 E. Navajo Boulevard, Holbrook, Arizona, in the presence of three persons, including one or more college officials.

A certified check, or cashier's check or surety bond for ten percent (10%) of the amount of bid, must accompany each proposal, as a guarantee that the Contractor will enter into a contract to perform the proposal in accordance with the specifications or as liquidated damages in the event of failure or refusal of the Contractor to enter into the contract. Checks or bonds will be returned to the unsuccessful bidders, and to the successful bidder upon the execution of a satisfactory bond and contract, as prescribed by Arizona Revised Statutes.

The Contractor to whom the contract is awarded shall, after receipt of Notice of Intent to Award, furnish to the Owner a satisfactory performance and payment bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the full amount of the proposal, such bond not to be expressly limited as to time in which action may be instituted against the surety company for possible nonperformance of the Contractor. Bonds must be from a corporate surety company licensed to issue surety bonds in the State of Arizona. Individual sureties will not be accepted.

The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, to waive or decline to waive irregularities in any bid, or to withhold the award for any reason it may determine, and also reserves the right to hold any or all bids for a period of 60 days after the date of the opening thereof. No bidder may withdraw a bid during this 60-day period. Persons with a disability may request a reasonable accommodation by contacting the Owner at (928) 205-1163.
