Employment in healthcare-related occupations is expected to grow by 25 percent or more during the next decade as more Americans reach retirement age.

Explore these career opportunities during Northland Pioneer College’s Nursing and Allied Healthcare Employment Fairs at NPC’s Show Low – White Mountain Campus on Tuesday, February 27, and the Winslow – Little Colorado Campus on Wednesday, February 28. Both fairs are from Noon to 3 p.m. in the Learning Center on both campuses.

These free events are open to the general public, alumni and current students and are sponsored by NPC’s Career Services and ARIZONA @ WORK – Northeastern Arizona. Employers and career professionals will be on hand from a variety of healthcare fields, including nursing (both RN and LPN), CNA, medical assistant, phlebotomy, pharmacy technician, paramedicine (EMT) and more. Admissions representatives from NPC and state universities will be at both fairs to explain educational opportunities.

Local employers already committed to be at both fairs include: Summit Healthcare Regional Medical Center, ChangePoint Integrated Health, Community Bridges, Northern Arizona Healthcare and Winslow Campus of Care. White Mountain Regional Medical Center will be at the Show Low fair; while Little Colorado Medical Center and Winslow Indian Health Care Center will only be at the Winslow event. ASU College of Nursing and Health Innovation, Grand Canyon University and Northern Arizona University are planning to have representatives at both fairs. Additional healthcare organizations and businesses are signing up to participate every day.

NPC’s Winslow campus is located at 1400 E. Third St. In Show Low, enter the campus from the 1000 W. Whipple entrances.
