SNOWFLAKE — Youngsters, ages five to 12, can create origami and greeting card craft projects on Mondays in June, between 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., during the free Discovery Nest program at Northland Pioneer College’s Snowflake/Taylor Silver Creek Campus library.

All are welcome to participate in this drop-in program, but children must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Initially focusing on craft projects, Discovery Nest plans to expand into other interest areas in the future.

Planned activities are:

  • June 5 – Explosion Card, a greeting card with an origami surprise
  • June 12 – Pop-up Card, a greeting card with a fun pop-up inside
  • June 19 – Origami Envelope, with a folded book that slides inside
  • June 26 – Origami Masu Box with lid

For additional information about the Discovery Nest program, contact Luann Crosby, associate librarian, 536-6220. NPC’s Snowflake/Taylor campus is located at 1611 S. Main St.
