Cosmetology accepting applications

Are you a cut above the rest? Northland Pioneer College is now accepting students for its Introduction to Cosmetology course this fall in Show Low, Winslow and St. Johns. Fall cosmetology classes begin Wednesday, Aug. 1.

Janice Cortina honored

Janice Cortina, an Adult Basic Education (ABE) instructor at Northland Pioneer College since 2007, was recently selected as a runner-up for this year’s Outstanding Teacher of the Year Award by the Coalition of Adult Basic Education (COABE), a 15,000-member professional organization recognizing excellence among adult education and literacy practitioners.
