Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum three years’ experience in general maintenance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associates degree in construction or related area.
  • Three years’ experience in general maintenance.

Responsibilities

  1. Performs general maintenance and repairs such as electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, concrete, drywall and related areas.
  2. Conducts ongoing program of general maintenance upkeep and repair.
  3. Reports major repairs and damaged property to Director.
  4. Assures equipment is maintained in good mechanical condition by performing regular maintenance, and notifying Director of any problems.
  5. Participates in a complete preventive maintenance/obsolescence program with accurate record keeping for all units and equipment, as assigned.
  6. Troubleshoots defective equipment, and repairs/replaces as needed.
  7. Maintains an awareness of the function and operation of utilities servicing the facility
  8. Assists with general security and fire safety of facility.
  9. Complies with EPA, OSHA, ADOT and all other federal, state, city and district inspections and requirements.
  10. Recommends supplies and equipment purchases.
  11. Assists in solving problems and determining future material and equipment requirements.
  12. Responds to emergency/non-emergency calls after hours and weekends.
  13. Perform other duties as assigned.

Required License/ Certification

Valid Arizona driver's license

Compensation

Initial salary range of $13.20 to $16.08 per hour depending on education and experience.
