Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma
  • One (1) year facility maintenance experience OR an equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge and skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Additional training in building maintenance or construction is desirable.

Responsibilities

  1. Monitors the campus and keeps daily written log of activities. Opens buildings and classrooms as scheduled and secures buildings and classrooms on campus when closing.
  2. Maintains a visible presence on campus.
  3. Monitors classroom activity and regularly checks activities in all buildings and areas.Reports any situation, which may cause concern or endangerment to staff and students.Contacts emergency responders and the Campus Manager when a situation may become potentially threatening or cause for alarm. Initiates incident report process when campus office is closed.
  4. Monitors inside and outside lighting and replaces bulbs as necessary.
  5. Performs general light maintenance work, and completes work-order requests when needed.
  6. Monitors security of campus vehicles, checks mileage and submits a weekly report including mileage, servicing completed and next servicing due date.
  7. Cleans and fuels campus vehicles on a regular basis.
  8. Assists with light custodial duties as needed, including sweeping of walkways and parking areas.Removes snow from walkways and parking areas as required.
  9. Checks student and employee identifications as needed.
  10. Completes physical arrangements before and after meetings as requested.
  11. Maintains the campus key schedule and locates keys as requested.
  12. Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Skill in observing with the ability to recognize unsafe and hazardous situations.
  • Skill in operating small hand tools or machinery.
  • Skill in customer service.
  • Skill in interpreting policies and procedures.
  • Skill in basic written and oral communication.
  • Skill in basic computer operations.

Required License/ Certification

Valid Arizona driver's license

Compensation

Initial salary range of $12.48 to $15.72 per hour depending on education and experience.
